One of the most prestigious residential developments in Beverley for many years has just been started by Peter Ward Homes.
“The site is the former home of East Riding College” said Peter Ward the company’s MD. “We completed the purchase of it from the College just before Christmas. It is a landmark site and we are very excited about our plans for developing it as one of the most significant and impressive places to live in Beverley”.
Most sites for new homes are more often on the outskirts of our towns rather than in more central positions. However Old College, which is the name chosen for this new site, is a stones throw from the centre being located in the highly desirable North Bar Without, New Walk, Molescroft area of Beverley.
There will be 36 luxury homes built on the 9 acre site. With prices ranging from approximately £565,000 to £999,950 they will have four or five bedrooms and up to four bathrooms or en suites. They will be truly remarkable homes in what is a stunning location.
“Site access is along Gallows Lane” continued Peter “Once on site you realise why this is going to be one of the most impressive places to live. To begin with there are commanding views over the Westwood and the Racecourse. The peace and tranquillity is amazing, its like living in the countryside but with the added advantage that you are just a short walk away from the centre of a bustling town. You couldn’t get a better combination”.
The first homes will be available for reservation in Summer 2016. As you would expect with properties of this kind the specification is outstanding with an emphasis on the design and layouts to accommodate the luxury lifestyle that buyers will be looking for. “With homes the size that these are we have been able to create unique living spaces which have been individually designed for todays modern lifestyles. For example we have combined the kitchens with the dining and dayrooms to create the most wonderful, useable, large family spaces. And it doesn’t stop there, many of the bedrooms have their own en suite bathrooms and master bedrooms in most house types have walk in dressing rooms. We really have put a lot of thought into the layouts and the detail at Old College”
And the company were thrilled that at the same time as buying the site they were helping out East Riding College. The College have relocated to Flemingate and a brand new campus. This move was made possible in part by Peter Ward Homes buying the Gallows Lane site for housing development for an undisclosed sum.
